Founded in 1976 by Larry Nienkerk under the name of Splendid Products, it began operations offering first-hand tropical fruits like citrus and mangoes.
The company has been recognized in the fruit and vegetable industry for its quality, volume availability, and timely distribution of the best mangos. By providing products throughout the year and combined with decades of experience, it has allowed customers and retailers to trust Splendid Products for its commitment to excellence.
In January 2016, Splendid Products LLC, in its fortieth anniversary, was acquired by businessmen Daniel and Cheyene Ibarra Lugo.
With their experience, the company takes a new direction under the brand Splendid By Porvenir as a tribute to their father’s hometown, offering new products such as winter squash, sweet corn, green beans, jalapeño peppers, bell peppers, cucumbers, among others.
