Splendid Jaguar

Jaguars are the largest carnivores in Latin America, with distribution in 18 countries. However, 50% of the species original range has been lost, and their populations are declining due to illegal hunting, human-jaguar conflict, and habitat loss and fragmentation.

According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), "There are only 64,000 specimens left in the wild, 90% of them in the Amazon". North America has one of the most threatened populations, so its conservation is highly prioritized.

SAVE THE JAGUAR

‘’Save the Jaguar’’ is the sustainability project that invites you to join the noble cause of saving the Jaguar! At Splendid By Porvenir, we take pride in introducing our new program an exciting initiative aiming to preserve one of the continent’s most iconic predators.

Since February 1st, we’ve teamed up with three non-profit organizations dedicated to wildlife conservation: La Mesete ade Cacaxtla, Proyecto Jaguar, and Animal Karma. La Meseta de Cacaxtla, a natural gem in the hear of Sinaloa, houses over 500 species of wildlife, including the majestic jaguar. This sanctuary, declared a protected area in 2000, has identified more than 11 jaguar, including mothers and cubs, marking a crucial milestone for their reintroduction in North America.

Your participation is vital to the mission of saving the jaguar. In collaboration with Animal Karma and Proyecto Jaguar, Splendid will donate a percentage for every box sold to fund the conservation of these felines in La Meseta de Cacaxtla. These funds will be used for surveys, equipment maintenance, and satellite tracking, essential actions to protect these majestic inhabitants from poaching and ensure their veterinary care.
